Special Olympics Romania Foundation organized on January 8th of December a sports event within the “Motor abilities development project for Down Syndrome individuals – essential step towards an independent life” project, financed through the SEE 2009¬2014 grants, under the ONG Romanian Fund. The Unified Gymnastics Sports Competion was held in a sports hall of the ”Paul Bănica” Secondary School No.11 from Targoviste. The competition brought together 72 athletes, with and without intellectual disabilities, from Targoviste: „EU POT” Association Târgoviște, Special School Târgoviște, DGASPC- CSS Floare de Colț și parteners from „Mihai Viteazul” Secondary School, „Smaranda Gheorghiu” Secondary School, „Grigore Alexandrescu” Secondary School and „Șerban Cioculescu”Secondary School. They have the support of 63 teachers, coaches and parents.
