Tuesday, 21st of April 2015, between 13:00 and 14:30, Special Olympics Romania Foundation organized a training seminar dedicated to topics related to sports, within the Developing motor skills for persons with Down Syndrome – essential step to an independent life project. The seminar was hosted by the ”Vasile Lupu” High School from Iassy.
The participants included 35 teachers working in four public schools from Iassy. The teachers had the opportunity to learn about the objectives of the „SO Get Into It!” Program.
The “SO Get Into It!” Project is a program which aims to educate mainstream school children regarding ways of interaction with persons with disabilities. The program is implemented in mainstream schools with the help of a four-lesson guidebook which will be provided to the teachers for free.
